The series of calamities currently unfolding in Palestine are monstrosities most individuals are inadequately educated on. Women and children living in Gaza are being affected disproportionately due to this war. The tragedies they endure range from unsanitary living conditions to an extreme quantity of fatalities, resulting in a drastic decrease in population. The significance of comprehending the devastations the people of Gaza are subject to daily is vital to the termination of these events.

Presently, women in Palestine are falling victim to mass displacement. The majority of environments they are forced to move to are unsanitary, and this breeds no site for comfort or safety. There is a significant deficiency in menstrual products, which consequently has forced women to take tablets that stop their periods as a preemptive measure. These tablets are called norethisterone tablets and they are rarely prescribed because of the potent effects they provide. The usage of these pills is incredibly dangerous, but in this situation it is a necessity. Side effects include: blood clots in the brain and lungs, coughing up blood, sharp pain in the chest, rapid heartbeat, severe headaches, difficulty speaking, feeling faint, and severe eyesight issues. In severe cases, venous thromboembolism can appear. This condition occurs when a blood clot forms in a vein, and it is often fatal. In summary, women are being forced to employ drastic measures simply to achieve a small level of solace in terrible circumstances.

The drastic diminishment of the Gaza population is taking a visible toll on their civilization. As of November 3rd, 2023, 2,326 women and 3,760 children have been murdered. Moreover, many women can not get to a proper environment to give birth because 14 hospitals and 45 primary health care centers have been completely shut down. This had compelled women to give birth in dangerous places such as homes, shelters, or even on the streets amongst debris. The few medical sites that are open are overwhelmed with other patients due to the lack of medical enforcement. Women are pursuing sanctuary in centers that lack the proper necessities to provide for them and this only heightens the risk of peril. Essentially, the women and children of Palestine who are affected by the mass devastation and inadequacy of medical treatment deserve proper humane medical care.

The trials of injustice taking place in Palestine are a display of the notable amount of inhumanity certain individuals and groups possess. Women and children are falling prey to these inequities and are being greatly tormented. However, in order to find a solution, we must spread awareness of these conditions so proper action can finally be taken.
